Access Students Raise Awareness for Mental Health Week
Monday, May 8 2017Access to Nursing and Wellbeing students have recently set up exhibitions around the college atrium to raise awareness for Mental Health Week. Our students provided information and reassurance to students throughout our college explaining the common factors of Mental Health that affects 1 in 8 people.Access student Kate Warrilow said ‘nobody needs to be sad in silence, someone will always be there to listen’. Kate wants to go on to be a Mental Health nurse after her time at West Lancashire College to be a Mental Health Nurse and will continue her studies in Edge Hill University in September 2017.
